              | NCCEE Expands Its Repertoire into Distance Learning. The Council’s new workshop series makes use of GoToWebinars to bring teachers close. NCCEE was able to engage its Stock Market Game participants with a six-part series of webinars designed to give the teachers direction and inspiration as they begin the SMG season. Titles include “Getting Started with the Stock Market Game,” “Investing 101,” “Tips for Winning,” and “Best Practices: Making the Most of Your Time with the SMG.” The Stock Market Game includes many resources that people are not aware of, including ongoing projects, Math Behind the Market activities, and the various nuts and bolts of SMG lesson plans. This kind of training that is ideal for familiarizing teachers with the options at their disposal without requiring them to dig through the multiple pages of text unguided. In fact, they were not even required to leave their classroom computer! NCCEE was able to provide the workshops without too much impact on its own resources and will be making these sessions a regular feature in the NCCEE workshop schedule. | ||
