Students from middle schools across the state competed in a PowerPoint presentation format. The County Marketing Contest is a contest designed to be an extension of the middle school standards for social studies (economics), technology and language arts. Students created a PowerPoint presentation that persuades companies to relocate or expand to a given county. Students were required to research about the county of their choosing and include information such as: local industry, main company employers, education, health care, tourism, attractions, population statistics, and any other pertinent information. “We thank all the students and educators that participated throughout the state and we are thrilled to present the respective awards to the winning schools and students during the NCCEE’s May Awards Banquets” said Sandy Wheat, Executive Director of the N.C.
