The Stock Market Game™ (SMG) is a unique program designed to provide the most realistic, educational and reliable stock market simulation available to both teachers and students. It is a valuable and motivating tool in teaching the fundamentals of investing, as well as learning about how our overall economy works. (Trading Sessions) The SMG is offered to all students and teachers in grades 4-12, as well as college students and adults -- for 10-week trading sessions during fall, spring and summer semesters. Additionally, a year-long game is available for those wishing to track their progress for longer than 10 weeks. The primary purpose of the SMG is to provide an active, motivating device for teaching fundamental economic concepts. The Game is inter-disciplinary and teaches and reinforces concepts and skills learned in mathematics, social studies, language arts, technology, business, and family and consumer sciences. Additionally, the SMG has a new Teacher Support Center which includes more than 25 lessons which are correlated to the national and state standards in math, social studies, language arts, technology and business and are customizable to grade level.
