Ferguson-Easley Elementary in the Spotlight
The Ferguson-Easley Elementary Allstars’ Green Team, competing with more than 5,000 fellow Stock Market Game teams and more than 20,000 competitors, was recognized May 16 in Greensboro by the North Carolina Council on Economic Education as a first-place winner in the elementary school category. Over the 10-week competition, the Green Team used a hypothetical $100,000 to invest only in sustainable stock for its green portfolio. In addition, State Treasurer Janet Cowell awarded the team $500 to purchase a computer for research.
