Insurance 101 professional development offered by NCCEE

In October, 49 educators completed the virtual, self-paced Insurance 101 professional development offered by NCCEE. Six State Farm volunteers participated in creating Q&A style videos covering insurance basics, auto, home, property, health, and life insurance as well as how to talk with teens about insurance. One teacher said, “These interviews with insurance professionals were gold. I loved listening to experts about the topics.”

After completing Insurance 101, 80% of people reported feeling more comfortable teaching insurance than when they started.  Additionally, 91% reported this workshop made them better prepared to teach personal finance.
